The Hourquette d'Ancizan was ridden in conjunction with the Col d'Aspin in the 17th stage of the 2022 Tour de France. Overall, however, this pass was only crossed 5 times, first in 2011.
First we start in Arreau with the crossing of the Col d'Aspin from the south-east via the less frequented branch line through Aspin-Aure. In the village of Payolle we then turn off the Aspin main line in the direction of Ancizan. Four kilometers before the top of the pass, this ascent is interrupted again by a short descent before the final descent to Ancizan. Overall, the slope values are consistently at a moderate 7%.
