The entire Enztal cycle path leads from the source of the Enz in the northern Black Forest near Enzklösterle to its confluence with the Neckar in Walheim. The Enz is a rather unusual river system. The Große Enz has two source rivers, Poppelbach and Kaltenbach, which unite in Gompelscheuer. In Calmbach, the Große Enz and Kleine Enz merge to form the Enz. It is also noteworthy that its right tributary, the Nagold, is almost twice as long.
However, we ride the cycle path upstream and only start from the scenic part in Neuenbürg. Via Höfen and Calmbach we come to Bad Wildbad, then via Enzklösterle to the official end of the cycle path in Gompelscheuer.
But we continue to follow the Poppelbach and further up to the Nagold origin and Besenfeld. Finally, it goes down into the Murg Valley and via Klosterreichenbach to the destination in Baiersbronn.
