Smøla is one of the largest islands in Norway. It is very flat; the highest point is only 63 meters above sea level. The island is surrounded with literally thousands of small islands and islets.
Smøla Rundt (around Smøla) is a bike race that takes you - you guessed it - around the whole island. It also visits a few of the smaller islands to the south of Smøla.
This RLV covers the last 45 km of the 80 km bike race. You enter the competition being at the very front of the leading group of about 10 - 12 cyclists. After a while you leave the island of Smøla, and ride on over bridge after bridge, on island after island, until you reach the ferry port at Edøya. Immediately after turning around at the ferry port, two cyclists break free from the group, and you join them. You go back over all the bridges and small islands and soon reach Smøla again. You pass a few small villages as you race towards the finish point at Hopen, on the north part of Smøla. Who will win? Well, there is only one way to find out...
Even though there are a few short hills and bridges to "climb", this is generally a very flat RLV. The highest point is only about 20 meters above sea level, so you can keep a good pace the entire length. The weather is nice and so is the view, even though you can see the rider's arms sometimes.
This RLV is only available as a download version. After payment is booked you will receive the necessary download link.
