Sognefjellet is one of the most famous mountain passes in Norway. It is also the highest moutain pass in Northern Europe.
This RLV starts in Lom, and follows the Bøverdalen valley up to the top of Sognefjellet. The first part doesn't have any steep hills, and you mostly follow the river as you slowly rise up the valley. After a while there is a steeper part up to Jotunheimen Mountain Hotel at a little over 1000 meters above sea level.
After the hotel, the road descends a little until lake Bøvertun. Passing the lake, the road is flat, but you soon enter the final ascent up to Fantestein (1434 meters above sea level). Now the vegetation is gone, and lots of snow starts to appear along the road (even if the video was actually recorded in mid-July).
After having reached the top, you follow the entire top of the Sognefjellet road, before it ends right before the descent om the other side. The views at the top of the mountain is epic, but the trip up the Bøverdalen valley is also very good.
This RLV is only available as a download version. After payment is booked you will receive the necessary download link.
