The 18th stage of the 2022 Tour de France first led over the Col d'Aubisque, which was the highest point in the Pyrenees this year. The subsequent descent was followed by a counter-climb of around two kilometres up the Col du Soulor, in contrast to the Tour stage, the finish of this video. The Aubisque was first crossed in 1910 and has been crossed 75 times in total.
We start in Laruns and drive via Eaux-Bonnes and Gourette over the Col d'Ausbisque and on to the Col du Soulor. On the left, we see the turn-off that the tour took towards Col de Spandelles, which will follow in a later video.
