The Untersee in Germany and Switzerland is the smaller of the two lakes of Lake Constance with a surface area of around 62 km². There are three parts that merge into one another: Gnadensee with its Markelfinger Winkel in the northwest, Zeller See in the west (all in Germany) and Rheinsee in the south (in Germany and in Switzerland). Its main inflow is the Seerhein and only outflow of the Hochrhein.
The tour starts in Konstanz and leads first to Switzerland, where it leads via Tägerwilen, Wäldi, Homburg, Eschenz and Stein am Rhein to Öhningen in Germany. Here the main climb awaits us and over Schienen, Wangen, Hemmenhofen, Gaienhofen, Horn, Gundholzen, Iznang, Moos and Radolfzell it reaches the finish in Markelfingen.
